Talk to your child: explain why it is time to give up using a soother – for example, because your child is getting too big or because the soother is old and tired. This is purely a matter of “taste”. Both materials have their advantages. You can, of course, switch between teat materials. However, once children have their first teeth, we recommend the use of soothers made from latex as it is more bite-resistant than silicone. If there is a little liquid left in the baglet, either just squeeze it out or leave it to dry. Never put the soother in a dishwasher. One cycle is enough to damage the material. Glass is the classic material for drinking containers – and also for baby foods. Today, with its higher scratch resistance, glass is a particularly resiliant and environmentally-friendly material. Thanks to the high level of transparency of the glass you can easily see if there is any milk or other residue still there when cleaning the bottles. The high heat-resistance means you can clean the glass baby bottles as often as you like and even boil them. And should you give older children tea or juice in them, then the glass of the bottle does not discolour.
