About this deal

When Srixon introduced the Q-STAR Tour DIVIDE two-color balls last spring, they included much of what’s new in this “standard” version. The high points are the ever-evolving FastLayer Core, that thinner cover we discussed earlier and an elongated alignment stamp. I tested the blue and yellow colourway by hitting a number of different shots, focussing on approach shots into the greens and short game shots to see how the divide pattern looked in the air. It didn’t have the speed of a firmer Tour-level ball. But for the target golfer, it was plenty fast enough. And while it didn’t have quite the spin of a Tour-level ball, for the target golfer, it was spinn-y enough. The Q-STAR TOUR release cadence says the full line is due for an update by the middle of summer. It would reasonable to assume the DIVIDE is using the most up-to-date core. The goal with this new version was to make some incremental improvements without reinventing the wheel,” says Srixon General Manager Brian Schielke. “The new Q-STAR Tour features a softer mid-layer which produces better feel and an increase in spin.”

Welcome to The Golf Shop Online, where our passion for golf drives us to provide you with an exceptional shopping experience! Matte Urethane Cover - Each Divide cover is yellow on one half and red, blue, or orange on the other. This high contrast matte cover makes spin visible and putting alignment easy. Plus, it’s cast from soft urethane for tour-level spin and stopping power. This fishing bobber thing isn’t something Srixon just cooked up overnight. The company had to create a new urethane cover for the Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE. Being part of the Sumitomo Rubber empire surely helped. The ball is still the popular Q-Star Tour, so it performs wonderfully in all areas of the game like the best mid-priced golf balls. Its premium urethane cover adds spin for plenty of greenside control. A resilient mid-layer increases speed off the tee. We had no problem maxing out tee-shot distance, in our testing. Speed Dimple Pattern - Providing a penetrating ball flight in any conditions, the optimal dimple design increases lift and reduces drag to maximise distance. Are you the type of golfer who likes a splash of color in your game? If so, the new additions to the multi-color Srixon Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE golf ball line might be right up your alley. We’re talking Technicolor, Kodachrome and Crayola 64 all rolled into one. I would say keep a lookout for other colors coming later this year,” Schielke says of the Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE. “This is exciting and we think it’s going to appeal to a lot of golfers.” Brighten up your game with the New Srixon Q-Star Tour Divide Golf Balls feature a 50/50 matte urethane cover with yellow on one half and blue on the other, making spin visible and putting alignment easier than ever. Q-Star Tour Golf Balls are Srixon’s softest ball with tour-level performance. FastLayer technology and the largest core in its class make the ball fast of the face and long off the tee. The new SeRM urethane cover delivers one-hop stop control around the greens. The longer your alignment line, the easier it can be to line up your putts. And with DIVIDE’s one-of-a-kind seam line running around the entire golf ball, you get 360˚ of alignment so you can putt with perfect aim. SEE YOUR SPIN First off, if you’re a fan of LA’s pro football teams, the Red Sox’ recent City Connect uniforms or the Cub Scouts, you’ll love the yellow/blue Q-STAR DIVIDE. And if you’re fond of adult male Western Tanagers or Lutino Fischer’s Love Birds, then you’ll enjoy the new yellow/orange Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE.

Into its 10th generation, the two-piece AD333 is one of the most popular balls with club golfers. The new FastLayer core lowers compression (72) for better flight with lower-lofted clubs, while the Spin Skin with SeRM found in the brand’s premium models improves spin and stopping power. The 338 ‘speed dimple’ pattern helps reduce drag and boost lift and the 1.45mm ionomer cover is very durable. Colors, and matte colors, in particular, have just been so popular lately,” he says. “We wanted to do something that would stand out from a color perspective but also give golfers the added performance benefits of a urethane ball.” The new Srixon Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE features an updated FastLayer Core. Since the Q-STAR TOUR first came out in 2017, each generation has featured an updated core. FastLayer is Srixon-speak for a core that’s soft in the middle and gradually gets firmer toward the outer edge. If Srixon did go ahead with a Tour-level DIVIDE type, they’d probably have to forgo a matte finish. As we’ve learned, when matte balls get wet, they tend to launch significantly higher and spin significantly less than balls with a traditional gloss finish.I noticed a slight drop off in distance with driver, woods and mid-irons. However, there was no distance change with full wedges shots which I was pleased about. This ball is designed for lower compression so if your swing speed is moderate to slow this could be a great option.
