About this deal
CDs also do not contain any cover or album art. But the Musicbrainz database has links to where B3 can find suitable images. Day 8 after ripping 350+ CDs, content is present in the Web UI but fails to play or display album art, attempts to update result in "waiting for disk" message and the content disappears from the UI, when attempting to play from the device itself, there's no content listed at all.
The screen is bigger on the x-14 and seemingly more user friendly than the Brennan, but probably comparable. I like the CD art icons displayed on the x-14 during play, as well as for cataloguing and searching, which is more like a jukebox style, rather than just lists. Many of the JB7 and B2 design decisions followed naturally from the decision to be as small as possible. There isn't any documentation for Bluetooth Out yet but you should be able to work it out. You can drive it from the front panel or the original web UI (Cog then Bluetooth). Android apps don't automatically detect the B3 as claimed but its okay, you can manually add the B3 to the app by IP
Getting Started
Save the playlists to USB A. This function only saves the list - not the music. These are text files and you could edit them with care.
Get into the menu by pushing the volume knob. Turn to select an item. Push again to choose that item.
Headphones and USB DAC
The original and v3m versions of the Web UI let you play through Sonos speakers as well as the wired speaker (or built in speaker on BB1). Displays the current Wifi signal strength. The readout uses negative numbers so -40dBm is better (stronger) than -50dBm You must first dowlnload the listing using Settings & Tools > Maintenance > Advanced > Install Radiofeeds The new BBC HLS system will give you access to higher quality music. I understand they use 320k AAC.
