The XLR can be used with a carry cot so the baby can lay completely flat, it has a wider more padded seat too. I love the fact you can fold it down with one hand and also the hood flips right down for sun protection if ever you forget ur sunshade. The wheels are a bit noisy, but only on uneven/rough ground and it's really not a big issue - hasn't bothered me. We do not believe umbrella products offer the best design or features for children under six months of age, no matter what the manufacturer's age suitability suggests. Perhaps not the lightest weight on the market, however quite easy to open and close into its trademark umbrella folded position – which I can manage in all of five seconds, one handed, whilst desperately holding onto Harrison’s hand, pulling me in the direction of the park!

All of our testers agreed that moving between the positions was easy and could be done with one hand. Baby should always be restrained using a properly fitted, snug harness, and an adult should check on baby regularly to ensure they have not slipped from the harness straps. The canopy is the high point of this stroller, but we think that you can find that, as well as better overall performance, in some of our higher-scoring options. Then I was shown the Techno XT posibly one of the ugliest pushchairs she brought out in that the colours were grey and boring. The Techno XT is light and very easy to push, it'll tackle any surface an urban city can throw at it and is brilliant for travelling on public transport.The fold is slightly below average in the group requiring two hands to open and close, and it is on par with the fold of the Mountain Buggy Nano. The manufacturer states that it is suitable from birth with the use of a newborn "cushion" (included with the stroller), I would personally recommend it from 4-5 months. Tall parents will be happy to know that you can adjust them to be even taller up to 44″ from the ground.

when wandering around it would have to be the ability to fold down with ease… having to juggle a toddler whilst trying to fold a buggy in the pouring rain or when going on holiday is not fun.That said, the clip does hold the folded buggy together and the Techno XT can even withstand the 'gentle touches' of aeroplane baggage handlers. I have only one complaint with maclaren techno and that's no bloody luggage space under it, esp if totally flat. If pushed, I can just fold the buggy down with one hand while balancing my four-month-old Noah on the hip.

Had my Maclaren for 4 years now and still use it every day, light,comfy, easy to clean got storage pockets, strong. and I'd still need to get a carseat separately but if it really does last the distance from birth until the baby is going to be 2 or so, then it doesn't seem like a bad deal.

Tailored to perfection, the Techno Xt 2018 version is made to reduce weight, improve ergonomics and add style. It's great getting some input from sensible people, my DP's only response has been 'can we have a cool one, you know with all terrain wheels'.Maclarens may not be blingy with alloy wheels, trendy colourways and fold down into a 1 inch square cube, but I still think they're the best. However, the Techno XT does feature a built-in mesh foot barrier (to keep baby from sliding out), shoulder harness pads and a head-hugging pillow insert to keep infants safe and cozy. Straight away it was easy to use, and you can take just about everything off to wash it, which is great when you have a sicky baby. I could walk on different terrains with this stroller without my daughter complaining about being uncomfortable, she fit in the stroller until age 5 (used for holidays at that age).
