About this deal

The concept of the album is similar to the Harmless collections and to BMG Global TV's Blaxplotation album series. a compilation released in May 2000 of songs from current and famous TV adverts which was released just days after the "100 Greatest TV Ads" poll from Channel 4 and The Sunday Times aired on the former. The release of their first Christmas album was met with a similar degree of excitement, as the pair's smokey lounge vocal stylings are well-suited both for one another and for holiday classics. Songs include "Silver Bells'' and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," as well as a flirtatious, fun, and more modern version of "Baby, It's Cold Outside. The moves may be in no way authentic, but it’s a good workout – a pre-emptive strike on the traditional stone gained over the festive season.

Released the same year as Elvis Presley's own wildly successful yuletide album, A Jolly Christmas was seen as the tamer, more refined alternative to the King of Rock n' Roll and his swinging hips. The best imaginable host for a Christmas get-together, Armstrong beams welcoming warmth and easygoing cheer on this recent compilation of his recordings with friends like Mel Torme, Dinah Washington, Duke Ellington and Lena Horne. The record is actually a compilation of the best songs from James Brown's three previous holiday albums recorded between 1966 and 1970: James Brown Sings Christmas Songs, A Soulful Christmas, and Hey America. The record's production is arguably just as compelling as the rest of his celebrated discography and is somehow suitable for both a holiday house party or a child's birthday bash. The track, an ultra-funky saga of a harassed drug dealer’s Christmas Day, is undoubtedly the highlight, but TLC’s All I Want for Christmas and Toni Braxton’s classy take on The Christmas Song run it surprisingly close. All I Want for Christmas Is You" began topping the charts each year beginning in 2019, guaranteeing that Merry Christmas will live on in Christmas infamy — and it's not the only joyously feel-good song on the record. The early Beach Boys could turn National Podiatrist Recognition Day into a party, so you know they're gonna knock Christmas out of the park. The pair offers something that manages to be both playful and introspective at the same time, a delicate balance of two sensations so commonplace with Christmastime. The Voice has made Cee Lo Green America's favorite smiling funk mystic, so this lovable record is a no-brainer.

Barbra Streisand, perhaps one of the most famous Jewish singers of all time, singing a number of Christmas songs may not seem like an obvious pairing on paper, but on the stereo, it's a match made in heaven. But, of course, the best tracks are solo Crosby, pouring vocal butter on "Silver Bells" or "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and making them unforgettably his own.Who else but Barbara could offer such a moving performance of "Sleep in Heavenly Peace (Silent Night)" that is so beloved the world over? Featuring fifty of the best-loved carols – many with new arrangements – the album is a perfect seasonal compilation. To replace it would be close to blasphemy though; any Christmas album with the 2004 incarnation of Band Aid rather than the 1984 one is not worthy to take its place.

This wildly successful Christmas album is the brainchild of composer and producer Chip Davis, who curated its largely instrumental takes on Christmas classics after years of working on his own jazz-rock chops. Build your own unique collection, Rediscover your all-time favourites and find new musical inspiration from all eras and genres. Christmastime brings people together almost as well as music, which means holiday tunes are essentially at the crux of spreading cheer for all to hear. featuring house, big beat, techno and electronica was released in 1997, and there have been 16 sequels. Bob Dylan might not be the first musician the holiday season brings to mind, but Christmas in the Heart still delivers the Christmas spirit with a side of surreality. The best of the album's six originals is the darkly funny "Santa's Beard," in which Mike Love takes his five-year-old brother to meet Santa and the kid pulls the cotton falsie off Saint Nick's face in a life-altering moment of mall-bought demystification. This compilation earned its place in history by featuring the first track ever released by OutKast, Player’s Ball. That breezily contagious spirit never lets up on this wonderful album, recorded in the summer of 1960 with an orchestra conducted by Frank De Vol (whose credits include the Brady Bunch theme). Crosby's 1945 album Merry Christmas – expanded over the years with tracks from throughout the Forties and Fifties and reissued on CD as White Christmas in 1986 – has a distinct Irish-Catholic flavor thanks to the hymn "Faith of Our Fathers" and the jaunty "Christmas in Killarney. Or perhaps, you want to bury it neck-deep in the snow out behind the house where Santa's reindeer take their traditional Christmas Eve pee break.

Also featured was Queen's " One Vision" and many pop punk and nu metal songs which were fairly recent at the time of release.Other successful subseries included Air Guitar, Sixties, Club Anthems and the aforementioned alternative rock Best. Recorded at Coventry Cathedral and featuring both The Saint Michael’s Singers and The Coventry Singers, The Best Christmas Carols Album In The World…Ever contains everything from ‘O Come O Come Emmanuel’ to ‘I Saw Three Ships’, ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’ to ‘Away In A Manger’, ‘O Little Town Of Bethlehem’ to ‘Once In Royal David’s City’. Now that we’ve reached December, I’ve been enjoying this album for well over a month now and my enthusiasm hasn’t waned. However, neither achieved the seismic success we all associate with Carey and Christmas until 25 years later.
