About this deal
Love the artwork in the book and the story is beautiful a must for any child English or learning English also great for adults to I enjoyed the story. My only criticism would be that London looks a lot cleaner in this story than how I remember it when I lived there! This picture book mingles fantasy with information most successfully… a lively introduction to some of the main London sights within the context of an appealing story…The text keeps up the pace of the story and includes a lot of convincing dialogue. Find photos of different places in London and use these as inspiration for your own art work (see Resources below).
When Katie and her brother Jack visit London with Grandma, they don't think there's much to see and do.
We have all extracted joy from the notion that one of the lions at the base of Nelson's column comes to life and carries Katie all over the place.
It's been firmly in print ever since, recognised universally as the original and best introduction to art for children. It talked about a child visiting London’s landmarks and was a good summary portrayed in a captivating way for kids.Katie and her brother go out with their Grandma one day, she asks them to sit down by the Lion on Trafalgar Square and wait for her and so the fun begins! Does the book contain anything that teachers would wish to know about before recommending in class (strong language, sensitive topics etc. Together Katie and her brother Jack travel with one of the famous Trafalgar lions and take us on a journey to all these places.
