About this deal

detachable locking cable and KRK also sells various other lengths and types of cable, should you require something different. Other than that these KRK’s are good, there isn’t much bad to say about them, but they don’t really excel in anything either. With a maximum SPL of 124 dB, they're capable of providing all the level you'll ever need while remaining clear and detailed sounding, with very low distortion. There purports to be a frequency response chart in eCoustics review of the 8402's here: https://www. The KNS 8400s also seem to mimic the tonal quality of some American monitors, with a very strong upper‑mid range.

While they can't complete in terms refinement or natural sound in comparison to expensive hi-fi headphones, this is surely beside the point. My impression of the KRKs is that they are no-frill, professional monitors at an affordable cost (not paying for any gimmicks). The 8400's have reputation for being highly accurate and revealing (again, they were designed for studio use); the 8402's seem fine in this respect but I'm not suddenly hearing all sorts of details that were previously hidden. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. The earpieces rotate forwards through 90 degrees for storage or packing, though this doesn't really make the phones any smaller. The closed-back, circumaural (“around the ear”) design provides up to 30 dBA of isolation, which significantly reduces headphone “bleed” into the microphones when recording. What they do provide is a trustworthy studio tool that you can always come back to check your mixes in a familiar and reliable audio environment, wherever you are.

low end response and because they gently conform to your unique head shape you'll be comfortable wearing them all day. With that said, the KNS 8400 are incredibly comfortable, by far the most comfortable headphones I've tried. With a maximum SPL of 124 dB, they’re capable of providing all the level you’ll ever need while remaining clear and detailed sounding, with very low distortion. The build is almost entirely plastic, apart from the headband adjustment mechanism, which includes steel rails. They use a robust, sliding metal headband design, and the ear cups rotate (up to 90 degrees) and pivot. Designed as a durable, adaptable pair of studio headphones, the KNS 8400 can be used in a whole range of studio situations.
