About this deal

The copper model looks good with Diamine Golden Brown, Noodler’s Golden Brown, Private Reserve Copper Burst, J. As with any fountain pen, if the pen is not used regularly the ink will dry out and you may have to get the ink flowing again. It depends on the filling mechanism, but it mostly comes down to flushing it out with water, and sometimes a little bit of Pen Flush if the ink is really stuck.

Using Diamine ancient copper ink and Clairefontaine paper I was amazed how well the feed keeps up with even extreme flex.I have another flex nib from FPR and can clearly read my bad handwriting if I do not flex it and use the fine nib. I have 3 other Chinese pens that I haven't got around to reviewing but am rather excited to see how they perform (low expectations though). The slit gets awfully narrow as it approaches the tip which could restrict the flow and the pen skates at times which could be another factor. Inspired by last week's color-coordination of my pens, I decided to pro-actively set-up supplies for my journal for February. As with many of the other fountain pens in this blog so far, the Jinhao X750 was one of my first fountain pens.

I have a jinhao x750 also with a medium nib and had the same problem for a while but then I bought a set of .Writing: Writing is fairly smooth and consistent on everything I have tried, including Hammermill paper with edible oil product on it, my Pacon sketch book, sticky notes, and the like, and feels a little better than the Nib Creaper on all.

It works well and pleasantly does not have that annoying rattle while it sits in the pen like I have experienced with other , much more expensive pens. Overall, I think the Jinhao X750 would also make a good first pen for those who just want to get their feet wet with this hobby. I'm still not convinced about their quality control, especially after hearing many people on FPN having various issues with Chinese pens. The site offers both the X750 Shimmering Sands, aptly renamed Starry Nights, and the Baoer Eight Horses along with a good selection of other models from Jinhao. In contrast, I have two Parker Sonnets, each one of them costing as much as my entire Chinese collection, and neither of these has a decent feed with one of them usually refusing to start for several minutes before it will give any ink.

I don’t know if there is a lot of Jinhao in my daily rotation but I am super happy with this purchase. This consists of either dipping your pen nib and feed in ink, or forcing ink from the converter down into the feed.

I was looking at both of these pens and I was wondering if there was really any difference between them?
