The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. I was expecting a more full biography, but I still enjoyed what was essentially a Conor McGregor fightography. The book covers everything in an adequate and readable manner; I read it quickly and wasn't at any point bored. After retiring from his MMA career while the sport was still very much in its infancy, Kavanagh moved premises to Harold's Cross on Dublin's south side.

Cleaning the mats multiple times a day is mandatory at a gym with a high number of sessions and a good number of people on the mats. McGregor's success is nothing short of extraordinary, having lost only three fights in his career so far.

For someone like me, who follows MMA and the UFC promotion from afar without being an expert but having a base understanding of the sport, there is some really informative exposition on how the fight game works, matching opponents and the different tactics/techniques used.

A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. But McGregor's success stands as evidence that world-class facilities are not the only way of producing a world-class fighter. If everything goes well, after a few years, you pack it all up and take a risk on a bigger one across town.
